You never plow a garden by turrning it over in your mind.
Irish proverb

We are a community garden known as Wyman Hill Garden. This garden is located in, Sidney, Maine on land currently used for grazing sheep. The objective of the garden is to provide cultivated garden plots to be independently planned and gardened with an emphasis on over production to be shared with local food pantries. All gardening is expected to be performed using such organic and sustainable techniques as would meet MOFGA's requirements for organic certification.

It is hoped this garden will serve as a demonstration area for organic sustainable gardening techniques and can be made available to local college students and programs to further support such practices.

An annual January meeting is held at which time the garden plot layout and participants are determined. Discussion will center on the previous season's successes and failures, as well as the available opportunities to try new plant crops and varieties.
